We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak” is a wise saying attributed to the Greek philosopher Epictetus.  As we think about workplace civility and professionalism in the judiciary, it is important to remember that attentively listening to others is often the key to avoiding conflict in the workplace.  When we listen to each other and learn from each other, our lives are enriched.  Additionally, workplaces flourish when employees feel that their opinions are heard and valued  . . .

Ralph DeLoach
April 28, 1946 - November 5, 2020
Past FCCA President-1991

It is with tremendous sadness that the Federal Court Clerk’s Association pays tribute to Ralph DeLoach, our esteemed former colleague who served as FCCA President, FCCA Journal editor, and, for more than twenty-two years, as Clerk of Court for the District of Kansas.

Disasters have impacted the homes of several of our colleagues. Flooding, high winds, and power outages have affected staff in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. Fire, smoke and evacuations have affected staff in the District of Oregon.
It is during times like these, uncertain and undefined, that the Federal Court Clerks Association (FCCA) assists our colleagues in need. The FCCA has been asked to collect contributions for our court family members who have been affected by these horrific events. Please see below for more information.

What FCCA Offers You
The FCCA is your voice in court administration and employee benefits, promoting professionalism and integrity in the federal judiciary. It is one of the largest associations of federal judiciary employees in the United States. Membership is available to all current and retired employees of the Judicial Branch of the United States.
